Common System Sizes
The right system size depends on your annual electricity consumption. A correctly sized system can offset a significant portion of your NS Power bill — but the actual offset varies by home. We size every system to match your specific usage.

| 14 panels | 7 kW | $17,600 | $20,064 | $2.51/W |
| 20 panelsMost common | 10 kW | $23,000 | $26,220 | $2.30/W |

What's Included
May Be Additional
These items are not part of the standard formula. We'll identify them during your site assessment so there are no surprises.
Electrical panel upgrade
Required on some older homes. We assess this upfront.
Roof repairs
We will not install on a roof that needs work first. If yours does, we work with a partner roofing company and can coordinate the full project — roof to solar — so you're dealing with one process, not two.
Travel outside core service area
No travel fee within Digby, Yarmouth, Shelburne, Annapolis, or Kings counties. HRM and other areas may have a travel cost — ask when you reach out.
Battery Backup
Tri-County Solar offers battery backup as an add-on to any solar installation. Battery systems provide power during grid outages and can increase your self-consumption of solar energy.
Battery pricing varies depending on capacity, installation complexity, and your home's electrical setup. If you're interested in backup power, mention it when you reach out — we'll discuss options as part of your consultation.
