About Tri-County Solar
Tri-County Solar Ltd. is a locally owned, family-run, installer-led residential solar company based in Digby, Nova Scotia. Founded by brothers Graham and Dante, we design and install grid-tied solar PV systems throughout Nova Scotia.
Our Story
Tri-County Solar was founded by two brothers. Graham handles sales, permitting, and project management as an NRCan Registered Energy Advisor with a background in building science. Dante, a Stardust Solar–credentialed installer, leads every DC-side installation. They co-design every system together.
We focus on dependable systems: Enphase microinverters, quality solar modules, and roof-mounted racking designed for Nova Scotia weather. Every home gets full Enphase Enlighten access from day one so you can track performance in real time.
We now serve homeowners across Nova Scotia, from Halifax (HRM) through Hants, Colchester, Lunenburg, Queens, Kings, Annapolis, Digby, Yarmouth, and Shelburne Counties. Our first completed installation—a 15.84 kW system in Hammonds Plains (HRM), commissioned in January 2026—proved our approach: clear recommendations, realistic timelines, and systems that perform.

From Graham
Hi, I'm Graham Cromwell — founder of Tri-County Solar and a NRCan Registered Energy Advisor.
Before I started this company, I spent years doing home energy assessments across southwestern Nova Scotia — including HomeWarming assessments for Efficiency Nova Scotia, a program that helps income-qualifying homeowners get free insulation, draft-proofing, and heat pumps. Over 800 files in total. If you're from the area, there's a real chance we've already met. I may have been at your house, your parents' place, or a neighbour's home.
That work gave me a clear picture of how homes in this area actually perform. And it taught me that solar isn't the right fit for every house, at least not right away. Some homes need insulation work first. Some have roof conditions that don't make sense. I'd rather tell you that upfront than sell you a system that doesn't deliver what you're expecting.
I started Tri-County Solar because I wanted to do solar differently — consultant first, sales second. My job is to make sure solar makes sense for your home before you commit to anything. Not to push the biggest system possible.
Every project starts with an honest conversation.
